Terms of Service

PlaySunday is an online platform operated by PlaySunday LLC ("PlaySunday," "we," "us," or "our") that helps individuals ("Persons") and churches ("Churches") discover and connect with each other for church-related serving opportunities, such as musicians, worship team members, and other volunteer or paid roles.

PlaySunday is a marketplace and discovery platform. We are not a church, a religious organization, a staffing agency, or an employer of any Person who uses the platform, and we are not a party to any arrangement a Person and a Church reach with each other.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use PlaySunday. When you create an account, you will be asked to confirm that you are at least 18 years old. This is a self-attestation: we do not collect your date of birth, and we do not verify your age through any other means. By using PlaySunday, you represent that this attestation is true.

To use PlaySunday, you must create an account and provide accurate information, including a display name. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at support@PlaySundayApp.com.

You may use PlaySunday as a Person, on behalf of a Church, or both, depending on the capabilities associated with your account.

A Person is an individual using PlaySunday to find and pursue serving opportunities. A Church is a church organization using PlaySunday to post Opportunities and find People to serve in them. If you create or manage a Church's presence on PlaySunday, you represent that you are authorized to act on that Church's behalf, and the Church itself is responsible for verifying the authority of the individuals it allows to manage its account.

Churches may post Opportunities describing roles they are looking to fill. Persons may apply to Opportunities ("Applications"), and Churches may directly invite Persons to specific roles ("Invitations"). When a Church and a Person reach agreement through this process, PlaySunday records this as a Booking.

A Booking reflects that a Person and a Church have agreed to a serving arrangement. PlaySunday does not guarantee that any Application or Invitation will result in a Booking, that a Booking will be fulfilled, that a Church will have a particular need available, or that compensation (if any) will be paid. PlaySunday does not process payments between Persons and Churches; any compensation, reimbursement, or other exchange of value is a matter between the Person and the Church directly, outside of PlaySunday.

PlaySunday helps Persons and Churches find and communicate with each other. We are not responsible for, and do not control, the real-world conduct of any serving arrangement, including scheduling, compensation, working conditions, safety, suitability of a Person for a role, or a Church's fitness to host a Person. Persons and Churches are each responsible for evaluating one another and for making their own arrangements.

A Church-supplied indicator that a background check is required for a role does not mean PlaySunday has performed, verified, or reviewed any background check; PlaySunday does not conduct background checks.

Where a Church and a Person's arrangement raises questions of employment, contractor, or volunteer classification, tax treatment, or similar legal status, that determination is between the Church and the Person (and their own advisors) -- PlaySunday does not determine or represent any such classification.

PlaySunday provides messaging so Persons and Churches can communicate about Opportunities and Bookings. Messages you send are visible to the intended recipient(s) and, where applicable, other authorized members of a Church's team. PlaySunday does not proactively read or monitor private messages, but may access message content where necessary to investigate a report, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.

You are responsible for the content you submit to PlaySunday, including your profile information, messages, and any other content you provide ("User Content"). You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms, our Community Standards, or any applicable law.

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse other users; post or send hateful, abusive, or sexually inappropriate content; impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a Church or organization; use PlaySunday for unsolicited advertising, spam, or scams; attempt to circumvent PlaySunday's reporting, blocking, or security features; or use PlaySunday for any unlawful purpose.

Our Community Standards describe expected behavior in more detail and are incorporated into these Terms.

PlaySunday provides tools to report a conversation or user and to block further messages from a Person or Church. We review reports as part of our efforts to keep the platform safe, but we do not guarantee a specific response time and we do not guarantee any particular enforcement outcome.

You may delete your PlaySunday account (as a Person) at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your authentication credentials and your private profile and preference data. Deleting your Person account does not delete a Church you manage; a Church's presence on PlaySunday continues independently of any individual Person's account.

Some records -- such as past Bookings, Applications, Invitations, messages, reports, and legal-acceptance records -- may be retained after deletion in an anonymized or historical form where legitimately needed for recordkeeping, safety, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of PlaySunday, in whole or in part, at any time. We will try to provide reasonable notice of material changes where practical, but we are not obligated to do so.

PlaySunday and its content, design, and branding (excluding User Content) are owned by PlaySunday LLC or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of PlaySunday's platform except as necessary for your ordinary, permitted use of the app.

You grant PlaySunday a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate and provide PlaySunday's services (for example, showing your profile to Churches, or delivering your messages to their recipients). This license ends when the associated content is deleted, except where retained as described in Section 10 and our Privacy Policy.

PLAYSUNDAY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLAYSUNDAY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PLAYSUNDAY WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY PERSON OR CHURCH YOU INTERACT WITH THROUGH PLAYSUNDAY WILL BE SUITABLE, SAFE, OR ACCURATELY REPRESENTED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLAYSUNDAY LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF PLAYSUNDAY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO PLAYSUNDAY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold PlaySunday harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The specific venue for resolving disputes has not yet been determined.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will require you to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use PlaySunday. Your acceptance is recorded with the version you accepted and the date and time you accepted it.
